1. Who we are and what this covers
1.1 Oser Clair LLC ("Osér Clair", "we" or "us") is a one-person, fully virtual health research practice based in Illinois. This policy covers oserclair.com, the forms on it, The Weekly Note, purchases from The Library, and email with us.
1.2 Health information, including anything that could suggest something about your health, is also covered by our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which applies alongside this one. If you become a client, your signed agreement describes how your materials are handled.
1.3 Please don't send health information through the website forms. We'll set up a secure channel before we discuss anything clinical.

3. Information collected automatically
3.1 Site statistics. Our website host counts visits, page views, referring sites, country and device type so we can see which pages are useful. These statistics are aggregate. Our host states that it doesn't build profiles of visitors or follow them across separate visits.
3.2 Server logs. Like any website, our host and service providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and use it to deliver the site and keep it secure.
3.3 Newsletter delivery. Our newsletter provider records basic delivery information, such as whether an email bounced and which links were clicked, so we can keep the list working and see which topics are useful.
3.4 Cookies. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Cookies or similar technology may be set by our checkout provider, Stripe, for payment processing and fraud prevention, and by embedded videos from Vimeo if you choose to play one. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though checkout may not work without them.
4. How we use information
- To reply to your messages and hold the calls you book.
- To deliver purchases, updates and receipts.
- To send The Weekly Note to people who subscribed.
- To run the no-charge place program.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records.
- To keep the site and our accounts secure and prevent fraud.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it.
5. Who we share it with
5.1 We share information only with service providers that help us run the practice, and only what each one needs. They may use it only on our behalf. Currently they are:
- Lovable, which hosts the website and its database and sends form confirmations;
- Stripe, for payments and sales tax;
- Google Workspace, for email, call booking, video calls and file storage;
- EmailOctopus, for The Weekly Note.
5.2 We also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to protect our legal rights. If the practice is ever sold or transferred, information could pass to the new owner under this policy, and we'd tell you before that happened.
5.3 We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for targeted advertising.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
6.1 We don't track visitors across other websites, so we treat every visitor the same way whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
7. How long we keep it

8. Your choices and rights
8.1 You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email lola@oserclair.com from the address you used with us. We'll reply within 45 days. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as tax records, and we'll tell you if we do.
8.2 You can unsubscribe from The Weekly Note at any time with the link at the bottom of every issue.
8.3 Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights. Write to us and we'll honor them as the law requires.
9. Security
9.1 We use reasonable safeguards, including two-factor authentication on our accounts, restricted sharing settings, private download links that expire, and payment processing that keeps card details away from us. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee security. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
10. Children
10.1 The site and our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
11. Links and embedded content
11.1 The site links to and embeds content from other services, such as Vimeo, LinkedIn and Google Calendar. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
12. Changes to this policy
12.1 We'll post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
